My Future Fish

I used to have guppies, like Orange, in my tank, and I'm total hooked again because I'm writing a new book series that has five guppies and a molly in it. Clare and Clara, the two girls, take care of them and Clare is in love with Blake, the guy that works at the fish store. Anyway, in the book, the molly is all white and he is named Blake. One of the guppies is all light blue and named Sky. Another one of the guppies is all orange, like my old Orange that died, and he is called Orange. Another guppy is all yellow and named Sunny, and one other is green with black spots named Halloween. The last guppy is black with all different colors on the back part of his body. I'm going to get fish some what similar to the ones in my story, same names, everything. I don't know what I'm getting after that, but guppies are my favorites right now.

Will Survivor Survive & The Stalking Fish

My pregnant platy, Vandibuilt, had her babies and didn't explode. Mickey, my spotted white Mickey Mouse platy, ate most of them, but one survived. Right now he is two and a half weeks old, and in about six month he'll be fully grown. I named him Survivor because he survived Mickey's attacking. Mickey is probably the first fish ever to stalk his prey... Mickey was actually going back there where the babies where and stalked to eat them! Mickey got me really worried because he was hanging out back there and we couldn't see him. We actually searched in the tank by taking things out, and we found him behind the cave. Surely Mickey is the first fish ever to STALK IT'S PREY.

My Tank's Fish

I have three high fin platys in my tank. They are called Vandibuilt, Berry, and Pat. Vandibuilt is yellow and black, Berry is orange and black, and Pat is orange, yellow, and black. I also have a mickey mouse platy named Mickey. He is white with black dots. Last but not least, Moon and Gold Dust are my two mollies. Gold Dust is black with yellow spots and Moon is black with silver gills. I also have a bunch of shrimp, bunches. That's my tank's fish!

The Wave Ride

My tank's filter makes a big current, and when my fish swim into the current, they zoom across the tank! Moon, the Flexible Fish, can avoid hitting the wall, unlike my other fish, that hit the wall pretty hard when they get in the current.

Will She Explode?

Vandibuilt is my female platy, and she is about to have babies. Her black spot ( the babies' eyes) is really big, and so is her belly. She looks like she'll explode! Pat, one of my male platys, is really stressing out Vandibuilt, so maybe that's why she is so fat and hasn't had her babies. I don't really know... I don't think I ever will!

The Shrimp Of A Tank

My tank has tons of shrimp in it. When I clean my tank, I see shrimp swimming everywhere, but when I'm not cleaning, the shrimp are hiding. The most shrimp I've seen in my tank is sixty, but we have moved some shrimp into my mom's tank, so now forty is probably more accurate...more shrimp have been born, though, so maybe they have gone back to fifty.

The Hide Out of Thing Three

Thing Three is one of my mom's loaches. Back behind the pot and under the plant's leaves of my mom's tank, his nose sticks out. I see him there when he's nervous; and that's a lot because he is shy.

Flexible Fish

Moon is my black molly I have in my tank. I've seen him touch his head with his tailfin, and most fish can't do that. I really think it's neat, because all my other fish can't do that...or haven't. Would you have thought Moon could do that? He is only two inches long!

Thing One, Thing Two, and Five Rainbows - Swimming Together

Thing One and Thing Two are Yo-Yo loaches. They like to swim EVERYWHERE with the rainbows, and loaches swimming with rainbows? If you have loaches, do they swim with your fish? It's weird that they swim with something that is not their type, I know people do, but one type of fish swimming with a different type of fish? It's crazy! You should just see them doing that!

Mr. Nitrite

Flash is my mom's rainbow fish that got sick during high Nitrite levels. If you are wondering what Nitrite is, it is a type of bacteria that is harmful to fish. Anyway, Flash was sick, and even when the Nitrite level was gone, he was still sick. A change from .40 to .00 didn't help him, but after a week or two Flash was fine. I nick-named him Mr. Nitrite, and he sure deserves his nick-name.

Orange the Fighter Fish

My guppy, Orange, was an accidental scoop-up when the guy at the pet store was getting water for the guppies I was buying. I ended up buying him, and he lived for two years, harassing every other guppy to death. His last day of life was really amazing. Orange was blind, barely had any tail, and then, three hours before he died, Orange ATE the food I put in the tank! Have you ever had a fish eat the food you give them the day they DIED? No, probably not. Orange really surprised me, so he probably surprised you.

Catching a Snail Shell is NOT Easy When it's Floating!

There are empty snail shells all over my mom's tank, and one was at the top. I tried to catch it with my bare hands, and it was hard. I got it up against the glass and caught it, but when I tried to get it out it floated out of my hand! I tried like five times, and then finally I got it out. If you ever try, use a NET. As you can see, using your hands is not very easy. If you have snails, use a net to catch their shells!
